NASA's nuclear-powered mission to Saturn's moon postponed till 2028 due to budget hurdles

IndiaTimes Friday, 1 December 2023
NASA has announced a provisional launch date of July 2028 for its Dragonfly mission to explore Saturn's moon Titan. The mission, originally scheduled for 2027, has been delayed due to budgetary uncertainties. Despite the setback, the Dragonfly team is moving forward with the next phase of development for the nuclear-powered rotorcraft drone. The mission aims to gather new science on Titan, a moon believed to be rich in organic molecules. NASA will assess mission's launch readiness in mid-2024.
