Texas Supreme Court pauses lower court's order allowing pregnant woman to have an abortion

The Texas Supreme Court has temporarily halted a judge's ruling allowing an abortion for a pregnant woman whose fetus has a fatal diagnosis. The court's order came after the woman, Kate Cox, received a temporary restraining order from a lower court that prevented Texas from enforcing its abortion ban in her case. Cox's attorneys have indicated that she is still pregnant. This case is the first of its kind since last year's landmark Supreme Court ruling overturning Roe v. Wade.
