An 18-year-old recruit in Myanmar's pro-democracy fighting units prepares to launch a drone strike on junta troops in Shan state. Moe Moe is one of hundreds of women challenging gender norms by training and fighting alongside men in the People's Defence Forces. She joined the Mandalay PDF after the military coup. Moe Moe, a pseudonym for security reasons, is part of the group's drone unit that flies commercial drones adapted for bombing junta positions. Female soldiers have proven to be formidable assets in these missions.
