The incident occurred at around 5.30 pm local time and involved planes belonging to Korean Air and Cathay Pacific. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. According to NHK, the airport had already warned of delays and cancellations due to heavy snow. Footage on NHK showed a thick coating of snow on the ground. Cathay Pacific stated that its aircraft was parked and empty of customers and crew when it was struck by a Korean Air A330, which was taxiing past.
