Minita Sanghvi, who could be first gay woman in NY senate, gets official Democratic nomination
Tuesday, 27 February 2024 Indian American Minita Sanghvi secures Democratic nomination for New York’s 44th State Senate district. She is endorsed by Saratoga County Democratic Committee and Schenectady County Democratic Committee. Sanghvi is a marketing professor at Skidmore College and previously worked at Walmart. She is supported by Indian American Impact and will be the first openly gay woman in the New York Senate.
