Malaysia PM says no evidence of ship-to-ship transfer of Iranian oil off Malaysia
Tuesday, 14 May 2024 () Malaysia denied US claims of helping Iran move sanctioned oil, saying they lack evidence. The US also wanted Malaysia to stop Hamas fundraising, but Malaysia defended its support for Palestine while distancing itself from Hamas' military wing. Speaking at an economic forum in Qatar, Anwar said Malaysia does not have the capacity to monitor ship-to-ship transfers in international waters.
