Turkish Airlines resumes flights to Afghanistan nearly 3 years after the Taliban captured Kabul

The Taliban government of Afghanistan has officially announced the restart of Turkish Airlines flights to Kabul's international airport. This comes almost three years after the airline's services were halted due to the downfall of the Western-backed government. The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation in Afghanistan reported that the initial Turkish Airlines flight arrived on Tuesday and received a warm welcome from government officials.
