'It's meaningless': Iran top diplomat rules out direct negotiations with US

Tehran dismissed direct talks with the US after President Trump expressed interest in negotiating without intermediaries. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi called such discussions meaningless while US threats continue. Iran's president, Masoud Pezeshkian, emphasised dialogue on equal terms. This follows increased tension after the US's withdrawal from the 2015 nuclear deal and re-imposition of sanctions.
