Karena Groff, the 2022 NCAA Woman of the Year and former MIT soccer player, tragically died in a plane crash in upstate New York along with six others, including her family and boyfriend. They were en route to the Catskills to celebrate her 25th birthday and Passover when the twin-engine plane crashed after the pilot reported a missed approach.
