Two Jail Workers Charged in Connection to Jeffrey Epstein’s Death
Two Jail Workers Charged in
Connection to Jeffrey Epstein’s Death.
According to a recent report by the ‘New York Times,’
two federal workers are expected to be arrested and
charged for their part in Jeffrey Epstein’s suicide.
The Bureau of Prisons employees who
were responsible for monitoring Epstein
on the day of his death, Aug.
failed to perform the proper safety checks.
Epstein, who was awaiting trial on sex-trafficking
charges, was being held in a highly monitored
section of the Metropolitan Correctional Center.
Rather than check on Epstein every half-hour as they were
instructed, the two unidentified men fell asleep for hours.
They then attempted to falsify records
in order to cover up their indiscretion.
According to the Associated Press, both corrections officers
were initially offered plea deals but chose to turn them down.
They will now reportedly appear in the United States
District Court in Manhattan on Nov.
19 to face their charges.
