Tom Holland’s Drunk Phone Call Kept Spider-Man in MCU.

The actor was “obviously devastated” following the news that Spider-Man would be exiting the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Holland shared that he asked for Disney CEO Bob Iger’s email to thank him for the opportunity, which led to the drunken phone call.

I get a phone call from an unknown number and I have a feeling.

I’m like, ‘I think this is Bob Iger but I’m drunk.’, Tom Holland, via 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!'.

The actor revealed he "wept" to Iger over his character’s departure due to the studios’ disagreement.

Disney and Sony agreed to share the character for a third MCU film, which has been set for release on July 16, 2021
