Four astronauts riding a newly-designed spacecraft from Elon Musk's rocket company, SpaceX, greeted their new crewmates aboard the International Space Station on Tuesday. The successfully docking was a landmark achievement for private space travel. Adam Reed reports.
SpaceX’s newly launched capsule with four astronauts arrived on Tuesday at theInternational Space Station (ISS), their new home until spring. The Dragoncapsule pulled up and docked early on Tuesday, following a 27-hour, completelyautomated flight from NASA’s Kennedy Space Centre.

The Falconrocket thundered into the night from Kennedy Space Centre carrying the secondcrew to be launched by SpaceX. The Dragon capsule on top – named Resilience byits crew in light of this year’s many challenges, most notably Covid-19 – isdue to reach the space station early on Tuesday UK time and remain there untilspring.

Last year Tesla CEO Elon Musk predicted autonomous driving would boost his company's market capitalization to $500 billion. On Monday, Tesla's market cap soared as high as $498 billion even though Tesla is still refining its self-driving software. Business Insider reports that it has only released a beta version to a limited number of customers. Musk made the claim during an investor call in May 2019, when Tesla's market cap was less than $45 billion, CNBC reported.
These detailed designs show Mars cities to house one million humans with inhabiitants living on the side of cliffs. The design inlcudes 5 cities with each city accommodating between 200,000 & 250,000 people. The project, called NÜWA, is part of an exhaustive scientific work for a competition organised by the Mars Society. Abiboo Studio led the architectural design. It's founder, ALFREDO MUÑOZ, says "if we were to construct the buildings as on earth, the buildings would tend to explode from the pressure, the solar and gamma radiation on Mars forced us to build spaces that are not directly exposed to the sky." The project has been fully developed by the Sonet Network, an international team of scientists & academics, headed by astrophysicists Guillem Anglada, who led discovery of exoplanet Proxima-B.

Astronomers say they are one step closer to understanding how the moon mighthave formed out of a giant collision between the early Earth and anothermassive object 4.5 billion years ago. The moon is thought to have formed in acollision between the early Earth and a huge object, known by scientists asTheia. Scientists at the University of Durham ran supercomputer simulations tosend a Mars-sized object crashing into the early Earth. These simulationsproduced an orbiting body that could potentially evolve into a moon-likeobject. While the researchers are careful to say this is not definitive proofof the moon’s origin, they add that it could be a promising stage inunderstanding how the celestial body formed.
