'They are Indians too': Priyanka Gandhi urges govt to help migrant labourers

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi has asked the Modi government to step in and help migrant labourers who are now trying to get back to their native villages by foot.

This as India remains under lockdown for 21 days.

In a video message posted on twitter, Priyanka Gandhi said that these poor labourers are Indian citizens too and they deserve every help to return home.

She said that while the government special aircraft to evacuate people stranded abroad, not much has been done to help these poor people get back to their homes.

This comes as thousands of migrant labourers were seen attempting to walk back to their villages on foot amid the lockdown.
