Trump plants tree and says U.S. parks to reopen

Planting a tree on Earth Day Wednesday, U.S. President Donald Trump said his administration plans to reopen the country's national parks and other public lands in line with federal reopening guidelines.

Trump gave no further details.

About a half dozen, mostly southern U.S. states, including Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee led by Republican governors, are loosening stay-at-home guidelines, allowing some non-essential businesses to reopen and hoping to revive their state economies.
