A passenger plane belonging to state-run Pakistan International Airlines has crashed near the southern port city of Karachi, according to the countryโs civil aviation authority.

A pilot is dead after a single-engine plane crashed on the grounds of an elementary school in Santa Maria Wednesday morning in northern Santa Barbara County, bursting into flames.
CBS4's Ted Scouten reports a student pilot Mark Daniel Scott died in the crash.
