The incessant rainfall led to water-logging in parts of Patna city on July 05. According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), Patna will witness cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers today. Patna has recorded the min temp of 25 degreeC and max 32 degree C.

District Administration has completed the preparations to open the 'Chardham Yatra' for pilgrims from within the state from July 1. The pilgrimage was remained shut for months to curb the spread of COVID-19. The pilgrims visiting the temples will be limited and they will not be allowed to enter some parts of the temples. Wearing masks, sanitising hands and maintaining social distance will be mandatory during the pilgrimage. The four famous Himalayan shrines of Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri in Uttarakhand's Garhwal region are known as 'Chardham'.
Deputy Director-General, India Meteorological Department (IMD), Anand Sharma on June 16 stated that temperature in Delhi-NCR region and the northwest India are above normal which will continue in coming days. May be after 20th June, the temperature will fall, he added. "There may be respite around 20th June as we are expecting a low-pressure system to form in the Bay of Bengal which will strengthen the easterlies and that can bring rain," Sharma further said.
