'China departed from consensus which led to faceoff': MEA on India-China clash

The Ministry of External Affairs briefed the media on the India-China clashes on Monday night that resulted in the death of 20 Indian soldiers.

MEA spokesperson Anurag Srivastava said that China broke the consensus agreed during the June 6th meeting between Indian and Chinese authorities.

He also said that China's desire to unilaterally change the status quo led to the faceoff and reiterated that India would not compromise with its territorial integrity.
