Children’s charity The NSPCC has seen an increase in the number of calls from children reporting problems at home since lockdown began.
On average, the children’s charity receives contact from a youngster every hour.
In one distressing call, a 10-year-old boy told Childline: “We should be allowed back to school now so my step-dad stops hitting mummy.”
