Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police (DGP), Dilbag Singh along with several officers paid tribute to him. 3 terrorists were killed in encounter that broke out in Srinagar.
Wreath laying ceremony of Sepoy Prashant Sharma, who lost his life earlier today in an encounter with terrorists in Zadoora area of Pulwama, was held in Srinagar. Prashant Sharma was critically injured in encounter and he later scrummed to his injuries.
Wreath laying ceremony of two slain CRPF soldiers was held in J&K’s Bugdam. The soldiers were killed in a terrorist attack in J&K’s Baramulla on August 17. Terrorists attacked a joint CRPF & J&K police naka party at Kreeri area. One J&K policeman was also killed in the attack. IG of Kashmir police said that 3 terrorists were involved in the attack and are most likely affiliated with the Lashkar-e-Toiba. Watch the full video for more details.

Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police, Dilbag Singh, on September 17 informed that three terrorists were gunned down by the security forces in the Batamaloo encounter which also saw a civilian dying, and a security personnel getting injured during the cross fire. "Three terrorists were neutralised today in an operation in the Batamaloo area of Srinagar. Unfortunately, a civilian died while a deputy commandant of CRPF got injured. The injured personnel had been admitted to hospital and is under medical observation," said Dilbag Singh.
To fight COVID-19 pandemic, personnel of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) are making masks and protective gear for themselves and for the public also. They are making almost hundreds masks everyday and providing to all units in Jammu and Kashmir. "With the onset of COVID-19, we started manufacturing these. All units in JandK are making hundreds of masks every day," said an official. CRPF personnel are also providing rations and medicines to needy. JandK has over 15,000 active cases of coronavirus .
Jammu and Kashmir's Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha announced Rs 1,350 crores economic package for business community who are facing economic difficulties. This will be additional to the benefits of 'Atma Nirbhar Bharat'. "I am glad to announce Rs 1,350 crores economic package for the people in the business community facing economic difficulties. This is additional to the benefits of 'Atma Nirbhar Bharat' and other measures taken by us to comfort the business community," said Manoj Sinha. "We have decided to give 5% interest subvention to every borrower from the business community, without any conditions for six months in the current financial year. This will be a huge relief and help in generating employment here," Manoj Sinha said in a press conference at Srinagar.
Three terrorists were neutralised during an encounter in the Batamaloo area of Srinagar. The encounter started when security forces were laying a cordon and search operation in the Firdousabad locality. The terrorists opened fire at the forces which led to the encounter in the area. The encounter began around 2:30 am on Thursday morning. One civilian identified as Kaunsar Riyaz was also killed in the firing. Two CRPF personnel, including an officer, were also injured during the encounter and have been rushed to the hospital. The Jammu and Kashmir police confirmed the killing of three terrorists in the encounter and added that a search operation is still underway in the areas.
