Covid: Aishwarya Rai, daughter Aaradhya test negative, discharged from hospital

Actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan tested negative for Covid-19 on Monday.

The mother-daughter duo was discharged from Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai earlier in the day.

The 46-year-old actor's husband, Abhishek Bachchan, confirmed the news on Twitter.

"Thank you all for your continued prayers and good wishes.

Indebted forever.

Aishwarya and Aaradhya have thankfully tested negative and have been discharged from the hospital.

They will now be at home.

My father and I remain in hospital under the care of the medical staff,” Abhishek tweeted.

The 44-year-old actor added that he and his father, megastar Amitabh Bachchan, are still under the care of medical staff at the Nanavati Hospital's isolation ward.

Amitabh and Abhishek have been in hospital since July 11.

Aishwarya and her eight-year-old daughter Aaradhya were announced to have tested positive on July 12.

They were hospitalised later that week, on July 17.

Amitabh has been sharing regular updates on social media.

The veteran actor has been thanking well-wishers, saying that their support is what has been getting him through tough times.
