Girl from Delhi slum scores 96% in class 12 exam, thanks NGO for motivation

A girl from Delhi's Seelampur has aced her class 12 exams. Fazia reportedly secured 96% in her CBSE examinations.

She reportedly stitched clothes in free time to pay for her studies.

Fazia credited an NGO for motivating her to study hard.

“I was very nervous when I reached class 12 since I wasn't going to any tuition classes.

At that time, Ashish Society members were here to motivate children in the slum to study further.

They visited my home many times too.

I wasn't interested at that time.

But when they repeatedly visited, I came here and saw that the environment here is conducive to studies.

We were given a separate room for studying too.

They used to motivate us a lot, which was lacking at home,” said Fazia.

She added that wants to become a Geography teacher.
