United way of freeborn county teamed up with channel one regional food bank for a food drive.

Now the need was so great that they ran out of food.

Food distribution began at 11 o'clock this morning... within just 45 minutes ?

About 235 familes received three boxes erin hagg works as the executive director for the united way of freeborn county.

She says right now people are stressed and worried about where their next meal is going to come from.

"we have been seeing people who do not utilize the food pantry that already exist.

Sometimes its because they aren't aware of it.

And sometimes they are embarrassment s and they feel like a one time pop up shop is okay.

" s look live: now they aren't the only ones to run out of food.

About a month ago at a food drive in austin they also ran out of food within 45 minutes.

Which just highlight the need for food in southern minnesota.
