Sign Maker Business Booming

A lot of businesses have experienced a decline but not sign making.

We hear from a local sign maker explaining her increase in business.

Centered businesses have been impacted state and nationwide by the coronavirus but there's one industry you may not be thinking about that's actually seeing business boom// our savannah gaido joins us live in the studio, savannah this is something we can all enjoy.

Video in monitor yeah aundrea, many of you may have seen signs in front yards celebrating a recent graduate or even the hero signs at hospitals// and to help social distance and with drive-thru celebrations, people are having signs made for everything, letting these businesses cash in// sign businesses could be described in two words... busy and different.

"a lot of our big projects have slowed down but our smaller projects like curbside parking and graduation signs stuff like that we've been doing a lot of that for the city, county and all the schools and hospitals and stuff like that."

Owner of gentry signs dillon bridge says they create signs of all sizes and for anyone looking to get creative.

Even signs with helpful information reminding people to mask up and practice good hygiene.

"lot of businesses have been slow with getting their own signage because of the coronavirus so we have been doing a lot of restaurants and stuff that has warnings saying please wear a mask and stuff like that."

Other businesses might be slowing down but co- owner of one of a kind says they've seen an uptick in work// "ive done one like theres one right there, a graduation sign.

Ive done a bunch of those just one sign thats got a photograph."

Bridge feels its the best way of communication from a distance - especially when operating outside "i mean its either that or someone in the parking lot has to monitor it, visual communication seems to help with that right now."

"i mean we have been really blessed, this business takes care of three households so i mean without it we are all looking for a job, you know.

So we are very lucky."
