The Oktibbeha County Humane Society is throwing the tenth annual Dog Paddle pool party online.

The oktibbeha county humane society is hosting a week long pool party for pets within the starkville community.

Wtva's rhea thornton was at the humane society and tells us the fundraiser went on despite the pandemic.

I'm here at the oktibbeha county humane society for the 10th annual dog paddle... and this year, they put a fun twist to make sure the event could still go on... nat pop of dogs barking vo: normally, held at the moncrief park pool, the dog paddle is an event that????this year, the pool is closed.

(track-don't use sound bite) the dog paddle is a fundraiser for the ochs second chance fund... if an animal needs heart worm treatment, if it has a broken leg that needs surgery to repair the ochs second chance fund helps to provide for those needs.

Although the pool party may look a little different this year, the community is still coming out to help with donations... and even finding ways to have a little fun of their own.
