Meet the dog and cat best friends who practice hunting together in their owner's front yard. Kodi, a Great Pyrenees, and Belter, a stray cat, became fast friends when owner Mike Streety rescued the feline. Mike, 52, from Christiana, Tennessee, said: "I was very surprised."The cat practices his takedown maneuvers on the dog. "There's give and take but Kodi has never growled or gotten rough with Belter."The two are inseparable. "I've never seen anything like it."The unusual duo can be seen chasing and taunting each other in a fun clip. Mike said that Kodi has taught Belter to become a better hunter. "He's a murder machine," he said of the scrappy kitty. "He hunts rabbits.

There's carnage in the front yard two to three times a week." Mike adopted Belter after finding the abandoned cat on his street a couple of years ago. "I let him stay in my garage for the winter and now he's my cat. "He wants to go hunt everyday."Because of this, Belter isn't scared of Kodi in the slightest. "Since he was a stray, Belter doesn't like staying in the house," he continued. "We're in a somewhat rural area though, so I keep him in the house at night in case of coyotes. "Kodi makes sure Belter comes in every night." The animal friends play together almost every day and never get tired of each other's company.
