Tomato prices continue to soar in Delhi due to monsoon rains

The prices of vegetables are continuing to rise in the national capital due to monsoon rains.

Tomatoes are being sold as high as Rs 50 per kg in Daryaganj market.

Locals are facing problems as the essential commodities are getting sold at higher prices.

Tomatoes are being sold at higher prices due to rainfall and less demand.

While speaking to ANI, a shopkeeper Aslam said, "Price of tomatoes usually gets high in rainy season.

They are being sold at Rs 40 per kg in the market." Another shopkeeper Shafeeq said, "Due to rise in price of tomatoes customers are buying it in less quantity now.

Good quality tomato is being sold at Rs 50 per kg while the other one is sold at Rs 40 per kg in the market."
