Wreath laying ceremony of fallen SI (GD) Rakesh Dobhal of 1011 BSF Artillery regiment held in Srinagar on November 15. Kashmir Frontier BSF paid last respects to the soldier. Dobhal made supreme sacrifice in the line of duty on November 13. Floral tribute was paid by several high rank officers. On 13th Nov'20 Pakistan started unprovoked ceasefire violation on LoC, using the Artillery, Mortars and other weapons targeting soldiers and civilian. Rakesh Dobhal immediately brought effective fire on enemy thus causing great damage to enemy in Naugam Sector. During firing, he got hit by bullet and later succumbed to injuries at a hospital. Rakesh Dobhal survived by his parents, wife and a daughter who live in district Dehradun, joined BSF in January 2004 and was holding the present rank since August 2013.
The wreath laying ceremony of police constable Mohd Altaf performed in Srinagar on October 07. He had lost his life in a terrorist attack on a BJP worker in Nunar area of JandK's Ganderbal on Oct 06. The BJP worker is safe while the terrorist was killed in the retaliation by police constable Mohd Altaf.
A wreath laying ceremony was held in Srinagar for the two CRPF personnel martyred during a terror attack in Pamore on Monday. They had been injured during the terror attack and later succumbed to their injuries. Terrorists had opened fire at a road opening party of CRPF soldiers around 12:50 pm on Monday afternoon at Pampore bypass. Three other CRPF personnel including an assistant sub-inspector of the Central Reserve Police Force were also injured in the terror attack. Jammu & Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha condemned the terror attack and said that the sacrifice of the jawans will not go in vain. Other political leaders including Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also tweeted to pay tributes to the jawans. Border Security Force (BSF) celebrated its 56th Raising Day on December 01 across the nation. BSF personnel celebrated the event in Srinagar today. Kashmir BSF IG, Rajesh Mishra also attended the event. He said, "It's the 56th Raising Day of BSF and I am sure the sentinels, officers and employees all would be happy and proud to reach this stage." The Border Security Force was constituted on December 01, 1965 and is one of the paramilitary forces of India.
Polling underway in the second phase of District Development Council (DDC) elections in Panchari area of Udhampur. People were also seen standing in a queue at a polling booth in Srinagar's Balhama area, waiting for their turn to cast their votes. DDC elections will be held in eight phases and will go on till December 19.
BRO rescued five passengers stuck in Jammu and Kashmir’s Srinagar. Passengers were stuck at Zojila Pass due to avalanche. Portion of the car can be partially seen stuck in the snow. Vehicle was pulled out of snow at Srinagar-Sonmarg road. Vehicles were evacuated and the road was later opened for traffic.

An encounter between security forces and terrorists broke out in the Parigam area in Pulwama district on November 19. Police and security forces are currently carrying out the operation. Further details are awaited in this regard.
A local terrorist surrendered during an encounter with the security forces in the Lal Pora village of Pampore in Pulwama district on November 06. A total of two terrorists were also killed in the encounter by the security forces. The encounter began on November 05 during a search operation in Meej area of Pampore. 2 AK-47 and 2 pistols recovered from the site. 2 civilians were also injured.
Updating on Budgam encounter, Kashmir IGP, Vijay Kumar informed that both the terrorists killed in the encounter were affiliated to Jaish-e-Mohammed terror outfit. "One soldier was injured andtwo terrorists were killed. Both the terrorists were affiliated with the Jaish-e-Mohammed terror outfit. One of them was a citizen of Pakistan, while the other was from Pulwama district," said Vijay Kumar, Kashmir IGP. Two unidentified terrorists were killed during an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir's Budgam district on Oct 27.
