Mississippi governor extends executive order; high school football stadiums allowed 25% capacity

Tate Reeves has extended Mississippi’s executive order requiring masks.

Governor tate reeves said earlier today - he signed an order to extend to current mitigation efforts with one change - that is increasing the number of spectators at school sports and extra curucclar activies to 25 percent when social distancing is possible.

Before today - just two spectators per participant were allowed at each event.

Said because we are seeing a decrease in daily numbers - he was able to loosen the crowd restriction.

"nothing is without risk but we have to allow life to go on and deal with these challenges that are before us."

Now today - the governor also extended the statewide mask mandate for another two weeks... the governor said the next 10 extended the statewide mask mandate for another two weeks... the governor said the next 10 days are critical as we approach labor day weekend... he is asking mississippians not to let their
