The stateβs top health officer has raised a red flag over a spike in the number of COVID-19 cases that have been diagnosed and hospitalized in recent days.
The state health department said it's not seeing an up-tick in coronavirus cases more than two weeks after the Labor Day weekend, but added this is not a time to relax safety precautions.
According to the director of public health at the University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix, the state has not seen a spike in cases as a result of the holiday weekend.
