Deadly cobra hooked out from under staircase in northern India
A spectacled cobra was rescued from a residential area in northern India's Uttarakhand.
The rescue was carried out late at night on September 4 in Dehradun's Banjarawala area.
Visual from the operation shows the venomous snake hiding under a flight of stairs.
A rescue team led by Ravi Joshi can be seen extricating the serpent using a snake catcher stick.
On being pulled out, the rescuer catches hold of its tail and successfully restrains it.
The agitated reptile tries to intimidate the rescuer and breaks free before he catches it again and traps it in a bag.
