Senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad lavished praise on Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing a function by Gujjar Desh Charitable Trust in Jammu. ‘I admire several things about a number of leaders. I am from a village and I am proud of it. A big leader, our Prime Minister, says he is from a village, he used to sell tea. Appreciating Prime Minister Narendra Modi during an event in Jammu, Congress senior leader Ghulam Nabi Azad said that even though they are political rivals, he likes how PM Modi does not hide his true identity. "I like lot of things about many leaders. I am from village and I feel proud. Even our PM hails from village and used to sell tea,' he added. He further said that those who do hide their true identity, they are "living in bubble." Azad was felicitated with Sher-E-Gurjar award by a charitable trust in Jammu.
Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge on March 01 said the vaccine should be given to youngsters first who have longevity in life. He said,"I am above 70 years of age. You should give it (COVID-19 vaccine) to youngsters who have longevity in life as opposed to me. I merely have 10-15 more years to live."

Strategic Srinagar-Leh highway opened by Border Roads Organisation (BRO) after over 58 days. The highway was closed due to the thick layer of snow. Snow clearance of Zojila Pass was a big challenge owing to snow accumulation of 30-40 feet, threats of avalanches and inclement weather conditions. Inspite of all odds, the snow clearance operations had been conducted and completed by BRO. This road is important from the strategic point of view, being the only route between Kashmir and Ladakh.
