Bihar Chief Election Officer HR Srinivasa on September 25 said that the first phase of Assembly elections will be done in 71 constituencies, 94 in second phase and 78 constituencies in third phase. Postal ballet facility will be available only for voters above 80 years; persons will disability and COVID positive people only.
Former Maharashtra Chief Minister and BJP's Bihar Polls in-charge Devendra Fadnavis on September 25 said that the people of the state have faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and also in Nitish Kumar governance, which has worked for the benefit of the people. "For the 1st time such a large exercise is to be held in world during COVID. People of Bihar have faith in Modi ji, also govt under Nitish Kumar ji and Sushil Modi ji has worked for people. It'll be re-elected," said Fadnavis.
A 33-year-old woman patient allegedly went missing from COVID-19 jumbo hospital in Maharashtra's Pune. Patient's kin staged protest against hospital authorities. Her mother said, "My daughter has been missing since August 29.The hospital authorities say she was never admitted to the hospital. I have lodged police complaint."
Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia has been hospitalised on Wednesday. Sisodia had tested positive for novel coronavirus on September 14. The 48-year-old AAP leader has been admitted to state-run LNJP Hospital. Sisodia was being treated for the viral contagion in home isolation. After testing positive, the Delhi deputy CM had confirmed on Twitter. Sisodia was rushed to hospital following complaints of low oxygen levels and fever. The deputy CM of the national capital has been kept under observation. Sisodia is the second minister in the Delhi govt to have tested positive. Earlier, Delhi's health minister Satyendra Jain had tested positive for Covid-19.

On September 25, a nation-wide protest is observed in wake of farm bills passed in Parliament. Farmers, under aegis of Bharatiya Kisan Union and Revolutionary Marxist Party of India (RMPI), blocked Amritsar-Delhi National Highway near Phillaur in Punjab. Similarly, members of Karnataka State Farmers' Association held protest near Bommanahalli on Karnataka-Tamil Nadu highway. Police personnel deployed in the area to ensure law and order is maintained and COVID safety norms are followed during protest.
Farmers intensified their protests across the country on Friday. Several roads were blocked by the protesting farmers. Farmers in Uttar Pradesh occupied the streets and several political parties joined the protests. Congress workers, AAP, Samajwadi Party workers joined protesting farmers. Delhi-Noida border was blocked due to the protest. Farmers in Tamil Nadu’s Trichy were seen protesting with skulls and chains. Farmers sat outside the collector’s office. Protest intensified in Punjab as farmers gathered in large numbers. Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal, along with Harsimrat Kaur Badal, was seen holding a tractor rally. BJP national president JP Nadda paid tribute to Deendayal Upadhyaya on his birth anniversary at party's headquarters in Delhi on September 25. BJP general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya on September 24 slammed Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee over latter's criticism against the farm bills. He said the West Bengal CM is opposing the agriculture bills because all 'cut money people' (middlemen) will vanish due to these farm reforms. "I want to assure the farmers of the state that this bill will prohibit the exploitation of farmers," he added.
