Sushant case being politicised to garner votes in Bihar’: Congress attacks BJP

Congress leader Shaktisinh Gohil has accused the BJP led NDA of trying to politicize actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death for garnering votes in Bihar.

Addressing the media, Gohil said that some were trying to gain political mileage out of the death of the actor and asserted that the first to demand a CBI probe in the case was a Congress party MLA.

He said that those who think that people would forget issues like migrant crisis, lack of jobs, Covid mishandling are foolish.

Gohil also added that some film star is summoned every single day to attempt to divert the attention of the people from the real issue.

He added that probe agencies are not supposed to make any evidence public during investigation, but still Whatsapp chats are made public.

He said that this is a well thought out strategy and the Modi model in action.

CBI, ED and NCB are probing different angles linked to the actor’s death.

Several top stars including Deepika Padukone have been summoned by the NCB in the drug probe as well.

Dalit family allegedly tortured by MP minister's aide for not voting for BJP

A Dalit family in Madhya Pradesh's Shivpuri alleged that they were thrashed by a relative of state minister Suresh Dhakad after they didn't vote for BJP in recent concluded by-polls. The family has camped outside the Shivpuri Superintendent of Police (SP) office, demanding justice. "He thrashed us for not voting in favour of BJP. His name is Ram Kishan Dhakad and we have filed a complaint against him. We have voted for BSP in the recent concluded by-polls, that's why he is torturing us," a victim said. However, Shivpuri ASP Praveen Bhuria contradicted the victim family's stand by saying that their complaint doesn't mention their failing to vote for the BJP candidate as the reason behind their torture. He said, "We didn't receive any complaint about vote. The complainant says they were tortured and they have dispute with Dhakad family. I have directed probe." Meanwhile, BJP state working committee member, Dhairyavardhan Sharma demanded an unbiased investigation in the matter and said, "I feel that people are still in the election mode. One may falsely accuse party leader to draw the attention and hence, unbiased investigation is needful in this case."

Farmers’ protest against the centre’s farm bills have now entered the 7th day. ‘Shoddily done’: CSIR chief slams Chinese study on Covid’s Indian origin claims

Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) Director-General Dr Shekhar C Mande slammed a recent Chinese research report which claimed that Covid-19 had origins in India or Bangladesh. "There is a paper which is under consideration of publication in Lancet. It has not been peer-reviewed yet, so we can't say what the peer review system will do to it. But it claims that the origin of the SARS-CoV2 virus is in India, and having read the paper myself fully and thoroughly understood what it says, the study is very shoddily done. The analysis was very badly done, and I don't think it will stand the scrutiny of a peer review system," said Mande. His comments come after Chinese researchers in a study proposed that the 1st transmission of SARS-CoV-2 may have taken place in India or Bangladesh. Watch the full video for more.
