Everyone is playing politics over a death of Ram Vilas Paswan, said Chirag Paswan on November 02 after Hindustani Awam Morcha wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding investigation into death of LJP leader Ram Vilas Paswan. "Those who are talking such things about a son should be ashamed of themselves. I have told Manjhi ji about my father's serious condition over phone, yet he never came to see my ailing father. The way Manjhi ji is talking about my father now, why didn't he show so much concern about him when he was hospitalised? Everyone is playing politics over a dead person now, why no one bothered to visit him when he was alive?" said Paswan.
Setting aside their political differences, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav and Union minister Nityanand Rai attended the shraddha ritual of LJP founder Ram Vilas Paswan who died recently. Paswans son Chirag was seen touching feet of Kumar and some other senior leaders, who have been at the receiving end of the LJP presidents relentless political tirade during the election season. DRDO successfully test-fired Quick Reaction Surface to Air missile for the second time on Tuesday. DRDO’s back to back test trials of QRSAM was lauded by the defence minister Rajnath Singh. The missile on Tuesday directly hit the target during the trials, as per reports. Earlier on November 13, DRDO had conducted a test-trial for QRSAM. Delhi's borders continie to remain under tight security in view of farmers' 'Delhi Chalo' protest march. Farmers from Punjab, Haryana have called for a two-day protest over Centre's new farm laws. Haryana Police deployed more than 1,500 security personnel at Faridabad-Delhi border. Police used water cannon and tear gas to disperse farmers at Shambhu border, near Ambala. Drone camera has also been deployed for security surveillance at Delhi-Faridabad border. Security was heightened on Thursday morning to stop protesting farmers from coming to Delhi. Earlier, Delhi Police rejected requests from farmers' unions to hold protest in the city. Farmers in Punjab have been staging protests against new farm laws passed in September. Several opposition parties have termed these contentious agricultural bills as anti-farmer.

COVID-19 tests are being done on passengers arriving from Delhi, Goa, Rajasthan and Gujarat at Pune Railway Station. A doctor said, "Passengers with high temperature are undergoing Rapid Antigen Test; if positive, being shifted to hospital. We are keeping record." The Maharashtra government on November 23 imposed restrictions on travellers who wish to come to the state from heavily coronavirus-afflicted states like Rajasthan, Delhi, Gujarat and Goa. The restrictions are imposed on both rail or air travellers. The travellers have to undergone an RT-PCR test.
The 'first blasting' for construction of Zojila Tunnel took place in Jammu and Kashmir's Ganderbal district on October 15. 14.15-km-long tunnel will provide all-weather connectivity between Srinagar, Dras, Kargil and Leh regions. Union Minister for Road, Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari virtually initiated the project work. Minister of State (MoS) for Road Transport and Highways General Vijay Kumar Singh, MoS PMO Dr Jitendra Singh also attended the virtual event. Addressing the event, Rajnath said, "The construction of these bridges will facilitate military and civil transport in our western, northern and north-east areas." "Our armed forces personnel are deployed in large numbers in areas where transport is not available throughout the year," Defence Minister added. "Even during the lockdown period, BRO continued operations in the North-Eastern states, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. BRO continued its work ensuring that snow clearance is not delayed at remote locations," he further stated. Last week, the Defence Minister had said that the strategically important Atal Tunnel is dedicated to the armed forces protecting India's borders and those living in the remote terrains."I do not need to explain the importance of this tunnel. Its strategic importance is understood by everyone. It will ensure speedy and faster transportation of rations, weapons and other logistics. It will also help in faster deployment of personnel. Situated on the border of two nations, it is dedicated to those protecting our borders, and those who live in those areas," Singh said at the inaugural ceremony in Manali.
