The Mahagathbandhan has released its Bihar poll manifesto and promised to pass a bill scrapping the three farm laws passed by the Centre.
The alliance led by Tejashwi Yadav has also promised to create jobs and focus on the education sector if voted to power.
As per the manifesto of the Mahagathbandhan-- Jobs will be given to 10 lakh youth in the first cabinet meeting, expense of candidate appearing for government examination will be borne by the government, infrastructure will be made world-class, a Bill will be brought in Bihar in the first Vidhan Sabha session to scrap the three ‘anti-farm laws’.
The Bihar election is being seen as a referendum on the three farm laws passed by the Centre amid much uproar and protests across the country.
The Bihar Assembly election is approaching and the main battle is between the NDA and the Mahagathbandhan. While BJP & the JDU are fighting the Bihar polls together, there is a lot of speculation about Chirag Paswan’s LJP deciding to go solo. What has also aroused the curiosity of political pundits is that the LJP chief has decided to only field candidates against Nitish Kumar’s JDU and has referred to himself as ‘PM Modi’s Hanuman’. While BJP has been trying to distance itself from Chirag Paswan calling the party a ‘vote-katuwa’, many believe that the BJP is keeping options open for the post-poll scenario. Mahagathbandhan's CM candidate Tejashwi Yadav lashed out at BJP and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar. Tejashwi mocked BJP saying that the world's largest party does not have a CM face. The RJD leader said if he's inexperienced then why are they using full force against him. "BJP is the largest party in the world but they don't have a CM candidate," he said. Tejashwi added, "I have been an MLA, Leader of Opposition and also held deputy CM's post. My five years of experience is equivalent to 50 years of experience." Earlier, Tejashwi challenged Bihar CM to debate on any of his achievements in last five years. The RJD-led Mahagathbandhan in Bihar comprises Congress and Left parties. BJP-JDU alliance has agreed upon sharing 121-122 seats in the assembly polls. Bihar elections will be conducted in three phases starting October 28. Results of the state assembly polls will be declared on November 10.

The Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, Sushil Modi took a jibe at opposition Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) -led Grand Alliance over their manifesto. "People who have encroached farmers land are now talking about welfare of farmers. They are from the ones who say a lot but do nothing," said Sushil Modi. 'Mahagathbandhan' released its manifesto for the upcoming Bihar elections in Patna on October 17. Bihar will go for three-phased elections starting from October 28 and results will be declared on November 10.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday forayed into battleground Bihar where he asked people to vote the NDA back to power, drawing upon Prime Minister Narendra Modis mass appeal and the BJPs ability to walk the talk on Ayodhya, Kashmir and Pakistan-sponsored terrorism. This is Modis India, where even chants of Bharat Tere Tukde Honge (India may you go to pieces) inside the JNU campus will not be tolerated, said Adityanath referring to the students protests of 2016 which left many activists booked for sedition. Slippers were hurled at RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav during a poll rally in Bihar’s Aurangabad. The leader was sitting with party workers when the incident happened. Two slippers were hurled at the leader. One of the slipper missed Yadav while the second one landed in his lap. Yadav has been campaigning in Bihar ahead of the assembly polls in the state. Ahead of Bihar polls, (Rashtriya Janata Dal) RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on October 20 said that Yogi Adityanath's campaign in Bihar is no challenge for RJD, BJP is frustrated and sad as they know that they are not coming back to power. Congress, Communist Party of India, Communist Party of India (Marxist) are part of the 'Mahagathbandhan' (grand alliance) in Bihar under the leadership of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).With 243 Assembly seats, Bihar will go to polls in three phases on October 28, November 3 and November 7. The results will be declared on November 10.
