Fire breaks out at a mall in Mumbai, escalates to level 5; two firemen injured

A major fire broke out at a mall in Mumbai’s Nagpada area on Oct 22.

The fire was reported at around 8.53 pm with no injuries.

The blaze escalated to Brigade call (Level 5) at 2.41am on Oct 23.

Two firemen have sustained minor injuries.

Firefighting is underway with 250 fire brigade personnel at the spot.

24 fire engines and 16 jumbo Tankers have been deployed at the spot.

Around 3500 people from a neighbouring 55-storey Orchid Enclave building have also been evacuated.
