Senior Congress leader Ahmed Patel laid to rest in Gujarat's Bharuch on November 26. Former party present Rahul Gandhi, former chief minister of Madhya Pradesh Kamal Nath along with other leaders was present at Burial Ground. Patel breathed his last after multi-organ failure in the wee hours of Nov 25. He was undergoing treatment at a Gurugram hospital after testing positive for COVID-19. He was 71-year-old.
Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra on November 24 lambasted on former chief minister of MP Kamal Nath over alleged corruption charge and said that he committed crime by looting money of MP's poor people. "Kamal Nath has committed a heinous crime by looting the money of MP's poor people. Our govt will take note of this corruption and consult specialists as well as the Income Tax Department. We're contemplating action in corruption cases through EOW," said Home Minister Mishra.
After recent trends of Madhya Pradesh by-poll results showed that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is leading over Congress in the state, party leader Jyotiraditya Scindia said that the results have proved that Kamal Nath and Digvijaya Singh are the traitors. "I am a worker of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). I am thankful to the people of the state for giving a clear mandate in favour of the party. The results have proven that Kamal Nath and Digvijaya Singh are the traitors," said Scindia to ANI on November 10. On allegations by Congress over 'EVM', Scindia further said, "It has become a habit of Congress to deny the people's mandate by questioning credibility of EVMs. If they keep doing so, they'll remain in the same place where they are or maybe worse."
BJP National General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya slammed CM Mamata over bombing and shooting at BJP rally in Asansol's Jamgram area on December 5. Several BJP workers got injured in the incident. TMC leader Bidhan Upadhyay had accused BJP workers of carrying bombs during the rally.

He will inaugurate BJP's election campaign office in Kolkata. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan called Dharma Swatantrya (Religious Freedom) Bill 2020 as 'Beti Bachao Abhiyan'. The bill aims to keep a strict check over 'forced' religious conversions by marriage. "It is our 'Beti Bachao Abhiyan'. Today we will give final shape to it," said Chouhan.
Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra had volunteered for COVID-19 vaccine trial, but was declared unfit by ICMR. He said, "I was eager to volunteer for vaccine trial and do something for the society. I have been declared unfit as per ICMR eligibility criteria of COVID-19 vaccine trial. It is painful."
GHMC poll result threw up a hung house after counting of votes on Friday. No political party reached absolute majority mark of 76 in 150-seat corporation. Telangana’s ruling party TRS emerged as single largest party winning 55 seats. TRS had previously won 99 seats in 2016 GHMC elections. BJP put up a tremendous show, emerged single largest party in GHMC. BJP won 48 seats this year as compared to 4 seats in 2016 GHMC.
