Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) farmers protested at MBD Mall in Ludhiana over farm laws and closed the reliance stores at the mall.
Farmers in Punjab have been protesting against the three agriculture laws - The Farmers' Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020, and the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement of Price Assurance and Farm Services Act, 2020, and The Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020- since they were passed by the Parliament.
Recently, Punjab Assembly had passed a resolution rejecting three farm laws enacted by the central government with Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, later leading a delegation to Governor VP Singh Badnore urging him to give his assent to three new bills by the assembly.
Amid rising fuel prices in the country, people are opting for other substitutes for commuting and because of which sales of electronic vehicles have increased drastically in country. People of Ludhiana are purchasing electronic vehicles. According to Managing Director of Avon Cycles Onkar Singh, "After fuel price hike, demand for electric cycles has gone up by 10-15% in last 2 months. We've launched E-bikes, which will be available in North India from next week." With the prices of petrol inching closer to Rs 100 per litre, the demand for battery-operated scooters is on the rise. People want to save on fuel costs and as a result they are opting for electric vehicles.
Farmer protests continued at Delhi's borders and other states. Protesting farmers also paid homage to soldiers martyred in Pulwama. On February 14, 2019, forty CRPF soldiers had died in Jammu and Kashmir in a terror attack. Farmers held candle light vigil and raised slogans of 'jai Jawan Jai Kisan', 'vande mataram', 'bharat mata ki jai' and 'inquilab zindabad'. Similar candle light march was organised in Punjab's Ludhiana. The march was reportedly organised by Bharatiya Kisan Union. Slogans critical of the Central government were heard at the Ludhiana march. Meanwhile, farmer leader Rakesh Tikait addressed rally in Haryana's Karnal. He said, “Both ‘kisan and jawan’ have only asked for law repeal so far. We have not raised slogans for ‘gaddi wapsi’ (vacate the thrown).” Watch the full video for more.

In a fresh twist to the Mukesh Ambani threat case, the owner of the car found abandoned outside the businessman's house was found dead. On February 25, a Scorpio laden with 2.5 kg explosives and a letter threatening Ambani and his family was found outside the Reliance Industries' chairman's Mumbai resident 'Antilia'. On March 5, police said that the owner of the car, Hiren Mansukh, was found dead after allegedly committing suicide. A fresh twist in the Ambani explosives case as Mansukh Hiren, the man whose Scorpio was found abandoned outside Mukesh Ambani's home Antilia has been found dead. Naupada Police recovered Hiren's body on Friday. Initial inputs suggest that Mansukh Hiren died by suicide. Police officials believe he jumped into the Kalwa creek. On February 25, Mumbai Police was alerted about a Scorpio abandoned near Reliance Industries owner Mukesh Ambani's residence Antilia.

Mumbai Police deployed its personnel outside business tycoon Mukesh Ambani's house after explosive materials were found near his residence on Thursday. A car carrying unassembled explosive materials was found abandoned at Carmichael Road in South Mumbai on Thursday evening, near the house of Reliance Industries chairman. The bomb squad and police teams have rushed to the site and a probe is underway.
Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait took a jibe at the central government while announcing plans to meet cultivators in the state of West Bengal. The Bharatiya Kisan Union spokesperson said that since the Union government was going to Kolkata - a reference to the campaign for the upcoming Assembly elections - farmer leaders would also visit the state to hold meetings. The announcement came a day after protests at Delhi's borders crossed the 100-day mark. The protesting farmers want 3 recent agri-reform laws repealed. Watch the full video for more.

BKU spokesperson Rakesh Tikait said farmers' union will go to Kolkata on March 13 to speak to farmers as "Govt has gone to the state". "Govt has gone to Kolkata so we will also go there on 13th March to speak with farmers," said BKU leader Rakesh Tikait. Prime Minister Modi is currently in West Bengal to address public gathering ahead of elections. Farmers protest against farm laws is going on since November, last year.

Abdullah was attending the wedding of Punjab CM’s granddaughter, Seharinder Kaur. The duo danced to covers of 'Aaj Kal Tere Mere Pyaar Ke Charche' and ‘Gulabi Aankhen’. In the video, Abdullah can be seen lip-synching and enjoying the Mohammed Rafi song. The former J&K CM soon ropes in Capt Amarinder Singh to dance with him. Seharinder Kaur married Aditya Narang, the son of Delhi-based businessman Devin Narang. The event took place at Capt Singh's Siswan farmhouse in Chandigarh on February 28.

Workers of Shiromani Akali Dal March 08 held a protest march to Vidhan Sabha against Punjab Government over several issues. The protestors held protest against suspension of SAD MLAs, rising fuel prices among others issues. On Friday, all SAD MLAs were suspended from Assembly for rest of the session after they interrupted CM's speech on Governor's address.
On International Women's Day, women from Punjab reached Tikri on Delhi-Haryana border on to join the ongoing farmers' protest. A protestor said, "We urge the Central Government to roll back the three black laws." Farmers have been protesting on the different borders of the national capital since November 26 against the three newly enacted farm laws - Farmers' Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020; the Farmers Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and farm Services Act 2020 and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020.
