Fire in Utica sends man to hospital burn unit
Syracuse hospital with burns.
The utica fire department responded to this fire around 6:30 sunday night.
The fire chief says the victim was first taken to st.
Elizabeth medical center... but is now in the burn unit at upstate medical center.
Crews arrived to find smoke and flames coming from the first and second floors.
Newschannel 2 camera crews say there were a number of stretchers at the scene and some medical personnel.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Utica fire officials say they plan to release more information to us later today.
