Researchers from the La Jolla Institute for Immunology, UC San Diego and the Icahn School of Medicine published the study online on Monday.

Blood samples from 185 participants, ages 19 thru 81, who had recovered from a mild case of COVID-19 were analyzed.

Researchers detected particular cells that indicate COVID-19 immunity may extend well beyond six months.
