AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi has lashed out at the Trinamool Congress government in West Bengal for allegedly refusing his party permission for a public meeting. Owaisi said that while Trinamool MPs give speeches about freedom of speech and expression in Delhi, they don’t follow those ideals in West Bengal. ‘Amit Shah to hold a public rally. You allow BJP to hold public rallies. Congress and Left hold rallies. But not AIMIM. Why?’ Owaisi questioned. He also urged the election commission to transfer all officials in the area once the code of conduct comes into place as free and fair elections cannot be held till those officers are still in power in those regions. Mumbai's Karachi Bakery shut shop months after being attacked by Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) over its name. MNS leader Haji Saif Shaikh had sent a legal notice in Nov 2020 to owner of the Bakery. Shaikh had asked him to remove ‘Karachi’ from the name. MNS leaders also protested in front of the shop in Bandra in November. “Patriots will never buy anything when they see the name ‘Karachi’. We made it clear that we only had problem with the name not the bakery,” said Shaikh. A Twitter handle, MNCDF Bombay, refuted the MNS Haji Saif Shaikh’s claim. The handle said that Karachi bakery shut its store due to lack of business. Karachi Bakery, a Hyderabad-based chain, is run by a Sindhi Hindu migrant family. They family moved to India after experiencing violence by pro-Pakistan elements. The bakery has shops across several cities including Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru etc. Watch the full video for more.

An ex-serviceman, who was a star medal awardee during the India-China war, now drives an autorickshaw in Hyderabad for a living. Sheikh Abdul Kareem, participated in the India-China war and was posted in Lahaul area. He has now urged the government to provide a house to ex-servicemen who fought to defend the country. ‘Despite winning a good service medal, I have not even received any sort of pension or any financial support from the government. Ex-Army personnel and star medal awardee drives auto rickshaw on Hyderabad streets to earn his bread and butter. Sheik Abdul Kareem received a special award for his contribution in the1971 Indo-China war. During Indira Gandhi reign due to surplus of army personnel, several were removed from their postings. The 71-year-old served in the army for 9 years but now is homeless and is fighting daily for a living. Kareem requested the government for financial support in the form of pension and shelter.

Uttar Pradesh government requested central government to approve 6-lane road from Gorakhpur to Lucknow, informed state Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on March 05 in Gorakhpur. "Raj Ghat (cremation ground) has been renovated, unlike how it used to be, it's clean and have many facilities. We have also requested the Centre to approve 6-lane path from Gorakhpur to Lucknow. Soon, there will also be a 'Plastic Park', which will employ over 25,000 youths," said CM Yogi.
District administration with the help of several organisations launched a massive cleaning campaign of Ganga in UP's Varanasi on March 07. As many as 84 Ghats were cleaned up during the campaign. Volunteers took an oath to ensure clean and neat Ganga.
A class 11 student jumped off his 15th-floor apartment and died in UP's Noida. The teen was allegedly battling depression due to his physical looks, skin complexion. The local Sector 49 police station was alerted around 5 am about the incident. Police said the body was sent for autopsy and no complaint has been made by the family. Ranvijay Singh, ADCP, Noida said, “A 17-year-old kid jumped off his apartment and died in Noida Sector 78. His parents said their son had been battling depression due to his skin complexion. The boy's parents were living separately and he was staying with his father.”
