The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Defence (SCOD) has sent a proposal to Central government to facilitate visit of members to the Eastern Ladakh region after May 15, informed Chairperson of Committee, Jual Oram on February 13 to ANI.
He said, "10 days ago, in a committee meeting, some members proposed the visit to the Eastern Ladakh region after May 15.
I have forwarded the proposal to the Speaker and Central government for consideration." Amid the ongoing standoff with China at the Ladakh border area, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh made detailed statement in Rajya Sabha on the disengagement pact on Feb 11.
