Former Chief Minister Kamal Nath berated Madhya Pradesh Government over its management of COVID-19 in the state. "It is in today's newspapers. Records of crematoriums tell everything. They are just misleading everyone to hide their failure. It's a murder. State is reporting 9,000 cases every day. This is when testing is limited," said Kamal Nath.
Amid the political turmoil in Maharashtra in wake of allegations levelled by former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh against the state Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, a meeting is underway at the residence of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar on March 21. Party leaders Praful Patel, Ajit Pawar, Jayant Patil and Supriya Sule are present at the meeting. Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut, Congress leader Kamal Nath also attended the meeting. Earlier in the day, Sharad Pawar said that there will be no impact on Maha Vikas Aghadi government.
Madhya Pradesh Congress President Kamal Nath took a jibe at the state, Governor Anandiben Patel, over her speech in the Assembly. The former MP chief minister said he felt “pity” for the governor. State minister Vishwas Sarang responded to Kamal Nath’s comments and condemned the remarks. Sarang asked the former chief minister to “apologize immediately” for insulting the governor. A Covid-19 patient died at a district hospital in Madhya Pradesh's Shivpuri after a ward boy allegedly removed oxygen support. The deceased, Surendra Sharma has died on Wednesday morning. “Last night, the hospital staff removed his oxygen supply. When I reach here, I requested the staff including a nurse to give him the oxygen but they denied and that is why he lost his life," said Deepak Tiwari, the son of the deceased. Chief Medical Health Officer (CMHO) Shivpuri, Arjun Lal Sharma said they will investigate the matter and strict action will be taken against culprits. Watch the full video for more.

As Covid cases continue to surge in the country, Madhya Pradesh minister Prem Singh Patel has made a controversial statement. Responding to a question on the rising number of Covid related deaths in the state, the minister said that nobody can stop these deaths. ‘You said that many people are dying every day. People get old and they have to die,’ the minister said. Prem Singh Patel also sought people’s cooperation in keeping the Covid pandemic under check.
