Union Home Minister Amit Shah continued to train guns at West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and her nephew, TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee. "Modi ji wants elections to be for your welfare. Didi wants elections as a means to make her nephew the next Chief Minister. Do you want the nephew as your CM or development in Bengal?," said Amit Shah.
PM Narendra Modi launched a frontal attack on West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee. PM alleged that her lawmaker nephew Abhishek was the only 'single window' in the state. The prime minister said that without crossing Abhishek no work gets done in Bengal. PM Modi was addressing a rally in Kharagpur in the election-bound state. âYou know, a single-window system is created for speedy clearances for industries. In Bengal too, exists a single window, the single window of 'Bhaipo' (nephew). Without crossing 'Bhaipo' (Abhishek Banerjee), no work gets done in Bengal,â he said. BJP has often accused Abhishek of running syndicates that extort money from common people. Rejecting the outsider tag given by Mamata, PM Modi said BJP is the only real party of Bengal.

Migrant workers across Mumbai are forming a beeline to return to their native states. This comes after fresh Covid-19 restrictions were announced in Maharashtra. Huge crowds were seen outside Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) on Tuesday afternoon. âWe are heading back to our villages as new restrictions have been announced. We were stranded the last time lockdown happened, what if same situation arises again,â a migrant said. Railway authorities, however, said people travelling outside the city for summer vacation. Both Central and Western Railway are allowing travellers who have booked tickets in advance. Zonal railways are operating daily additional special outstation trains to North India. Western Railway is also likely to operate a few special trains towards North India. The financial capital is also witnessing queues at outstation bus stops.
