16 prisoners flee from Jodhpur jail after throwing chilli powder in eyes of guards

Sixteen prisoners of Phalodi sub-jail in Jodhpur escaped on the night of April 5.

Prisoners escaped after throwing chilli powder in the eyes of the guards.

They fled when they were being lodged in their barracks after dinner.

The escapees are mostly facing charges of murder and drug trafficking.

An operation has been launched to nab the escapees, police informed.

Police also said that various teams have been roped in to search them.
