Two new reports raise doubts about drone strike rationale
An investigation by The New York Times indicates that a man thought to be transporting an ISIS bomb, killed in a U.S. drone strike, was actually “an aid worker going about his normal day,” Evan Hill says.
Additional reporting by the Washington Post also casts doubt on the Pentagon’s rationale for the strike.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) detained Mussavir Hussain Shazib and Abdul Matheen Taahaa, key suspects in the Bengaluru cafe blast. Muzammil Shareef was also arrested for aiding the blast. Associated with ISIS modules, they were involved in various terror activities. The blast injured nine, emphasizing the urgency of apprehending remaining suspects.
