Pfizer seeks approval for kids 5-11
Pfizer is asking for an emergency use authorization for children ages 5-11, becoming the first of the three major vaccines to seek approval for this age group.
The CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices must first give its own recommendation before agency director Dr. Rochelle Walensky gives final approval.
