As many as four BJP workers were arrested from Panagarh Railway Station in West Burdwan district of West Bengal while they were on their way to Bengal BJP's march to the secretariat.
A legal complaint has been lodged against Tejasvi Surya, the Bharatiya Janata Party's candidate from Bengaluru South and incumbent Member of Parliament, for allegedly appealing for votes based on religious affiliations. The Karnataka Chief Electoral Officer released a statement via the microblogging platform X, asserting that Mr. Surya had shared a video on social media explicitly soliciting votes on religious grounds. The case has been officially registered with the Jayanagar police station in Bengaluru.
