Bitcoin recently released a new wallet type called "Taproot".

Taproot allows multi-sig transfers, much like 2-factor authentication that's already used by emails and social media sites to verify the user is the owner and not a hacker.

Taproot also has another advantage, PRIVACY.

Taproot allows you to move Bitcoin to a wallet and hide it from the blockchain.

This is an enormous advancement that could have saved the owner and sellers on Silk Road a lot of legal drama by preventing Bitcoins from being tracked every step of their journey.

Essentially, Taproot allows the cleansing of 'dirty coins' obtained via criminal activity, or coins purchased by countries that are monitored by law enforcement and military.

Russia can now buy Bitcoin and send it to a Taproot wallet, removing the trail while also providing extra security where several people in the Russian government must approve the movement of the Bitcoin before they can be spent.

This is an enormous advancement for Bitcoin that will likely lead to much greater adoption world wide!
