Massive A81 iceberg from Brunt Ice Shelf floats 150 km away from Antarctica | Watch | Oneindia News
In a recent development in water bodies getting affected due to climate change, for the first time, researchers have captured imagery and video footage of a giant iceberg that calved off from its parent shelf in Antarctica in January this year.
In a dramatic high-risk rescue, three American researchers were evacuated from Antarctica’s remote McMurdo Station after a serious medical emergency. Carried out by the Royal New Zealand Air Force, the nearly 20-hour mission involved landing on a pitch-black ice runway in -11°F temperatures. This rare and dangerous operation highlights the extreme challenges of saving lives in one of the most isolated places on Earth.
